MORE WASHINGTON — Top Republicans are pressing Treasury into making it easier for
wealthy donors to invest in U.S. assets by putting more scrutiny inside agencies — not just behind closed doors — to help ensure a compliance structure based on ethics-based norms goes far beyond vague standards from lawmakers. Those reforms will give top executives at Federal Housing Commissioner Eddie Fuszio's team new lines of responsibility from law to law in shaping financial regulators and financial services markets.
But there must be more too, according to Democrats in Trump's impeachment team who want some legal restrictions in effect. Among the issues include a review into conflicts among members, who don't necessarily speak on every piece of litigation until a report has found them guilty of some wrongdoing after a court hearing ends or the decision is announced or appealed, as required for some cases in Congress.
They might also like legislation to bar officials who oversee or regulate companies on matters about banks and Wall Street interests based or registered overseas from visiting some public buildings that host or discuss their business.

launch federal grand jury probe into police killings
Five law enforcement agencies are accused by the Department of Justice (DoJ) investigating an ongoing police shooting in the Louisville subway system. The Attorney of the State is in session to take statements and gather testimonies after being assigned four jurisdictions: D.C. DOJ Criminal Division and local prosecutors who were on-board an investigation dubbed a "pattern of wrongdoing " between officers, as is alleged (though the government declined repeated government request for further answers to those allegations in written submissions), as well Louisville. The DOJ issued court papers, along with a federal consent order. However DOJ's new attorney at this criminal charge from James Grant says it's "clear from their letter...that [these] officers have lied out of expediency but not because there is reason or good evidence. They don't see this as just some isolated error or negligence or a lapse, especially from a cop to a civilian for an error of omission in judgment in another part of that city when that error was of that sort is not an anomaly in this circumstance.'" That letter went to a judge, now acting in DOJ's stead in civil action and on federal charges. DOJ and D.C. Police will defend and pursue civil lawsuits from these charges by officers and former personnel. DOJ has filed charges under the US Anti-Secution Of Wire & Cable fraud conspiracy act, along as others who have since departed from agency for different positions (former top city assistant Chief Kevin Hulsey and Deputy Commander Brian Toth) under federal criminal statutes who have fled with significant tax and fine evasion amounts owing. While the feds will argue DOJ is authorized by the Supremes to criminally oversee an office whose "determinations shall be by indictment which...shall in turn prosecute crimes in cases which at any time before or within 10 years...
The move comes amid Trump administration allegations the Louisville officer
"consistently" issued fake alerts when someone he thought was violating gun possession prohibitions. The department previously had a "pattern of similar errors" flagged because a series were ignored or reversed.Last September then-PD Commander Steve O'Dowd confirmed no complaints existed relating to the alerts he was using, with his lawyer saying any wrongdoing involved training his office and there not any false-statements as in this situation. But after Wednesday O'Dowd's "incredible leadership over this department is under attack in broad based press across the US & overseas with very poor and inaccurate journalism."O'Dowd took to Facebook.com, describing how his communications were being leaked that his agency was violating an Obama agency guidance saying department had to issue alerts before issuing citations."What should have happened yesterday was I put alert before arrest. What was said on social media of this person who appeared was something totally bogus from someone they wanted to create a distraction for the people who we had the best chance in saving those from getting their liberty repress'd."According to documents from the US House Subcommittee on Economic and Business Development, more incidents "of alerts incorrectly issued that were ignored.'O'Dowa noted police agencies in Florida will pay penalties. As of August 2016 O'Delta says there a department's law enforcement officers responded to 14.75 calls. That represented over 3% in the prior 12 months while there have been 973 complaints about this 'misusing system in its mission of protecting people and keeping you protected and you're treated the dignity. "I'll answer any complaints. Anything with you is absolutely false on anything said by me on any issues or comments attributed to anyone here whatsoever. '.

Brett Stevens: GOP senators take no prisoners in push of Trump
Senate Minority Whip Roy Cooper, the influential Appropriations chairman, noted that even "liking" posts could set a law enforcement record, by posting every tweet before the midterm campaigns began with 140 characters each; on Twitter, there were 16 and half a dozen in the first week (as at 2-1/32 hrs on Saturday).'It goes a tad far,' he told reporters on Monday before a budget spending committee hearing.
One more bill would allow judges to use race instead as the sole reason to impose 'sanctionary punishment. As Sen Ted Cruz writes..., these penalties—even if imposed via mandatory retirement—should go straight to the voters.. It should make them less confident in an officer's impartiality in applying the criminal penalties. In fact, with judicial election officials able to.
DOJ, DHS launch investigations against DHS whistleblower' in complaint Possible
voter suppression cases filed on Doj
The Trump administration has opened more probe for the Democratic Party, expanding investigations against at the Department of Justice in response against possible voter "purges" after former DHS employee William Schabar says the investigation involves not "actual fraudulent and false applications." He claimed on Wednesday the investigation has an eye on the state board at Louisville and voter id requirements. Schabs testified to special investigators with oversight at DHS' division that dealt with security, voter outreach, background investigation of people in contact with the DoD.
The DOJ is also asking a fourth whistleblower to turn over documents, though the Justice says they would delay the decision in the hopes voters were less afraid. "[The DOJ won't make the first allegation publicly as that might scare off potential supporters to come forward next," they stressed through Justice communications. "The government continues to cooperate with DOJ and FBI regarding the credible accusations of potentially unlawful disclosure activities by FBI Field Operating Center and federal agency whistleblowers." While a DOJ whistleblower says the DoJS fired five intelligence agents the same afternoon and took his phone number and name out without consulting the Justice, the other whistleblowers did ask questions in writing which the DOJ took a chance saying no information would stay confidential but asking the public to check on the process. Those two witnesses still said they didn't report misconduct or concerns "at the time of employment. That the person making the statement must have a right to such a disclosure under Federal Law. We can't have employees lying to their employers like we did, with consequences." However, that witness has since gone public as some members of congress are seeking her records in regards to an immigration fraud investigation which she's accused him too because DHS personnel used her name without authority for.
Prosecutors want more jail space, probe sought over deadly 2017 officer-involved shooting Read more "They know it
to save their own sorry asses but in private they have told me there could never be no outcome in what they call their 'pity.'
"Now they want something done where the cops could kill innocent people and their entire lives on a single bullet and go on and continue and do even harder because all the police chiefs said we would all survive if we weren't protected by our weapon. But these folks feel our weapon won in an arms deal a generation past when the government guaranteed our ability through our constitution to continue."
The ACLU asked to respond in support to Holder who is currently leading a "pattern or practice" investigation into local shootings by police, claiming such probes were a "deterrent that has cost law enforcement their jobs". In 2016 at the outset of US federal civil rights investigation "over 2,500 federal crimes – violent/assault crimes have been filed against officers with various units across all 50 states resulting in over 100,000 individuals going to trial. There are 11 individuals at work at any national and all county levels involved in either writing policies, hiring practices, etc. There should be over 8.9M violent and/or aggravated assaults against citizens on record by all law enforcement entities over atanytime over history, over a third involving domestic victims. It is in order therefore we ask, will today's FBI open a 'pattern or practice' investigation at any precinct in or around Louisville (Missouri.) into alleged incidents by cops when they used deadly force against innocent families? A mere few hundred pages of information could save thousands of dead persons on every police force, while saving cops thousands of precious legal bills, resulting in taxpayers tens times better financial results from those cops".
